Descendants of Edward BURNETT of Bishop Monkton
Roger BURNETT of Bishop Monkton had a son named Edward baptised in 1628. It is possible that this Edward was the man who married Anne Gibson in 1673 - though he would have been 45yrs old at marriage. Possibly a second marriage? No other evidence has been found for an Edward BURNETT who would be a better 'fit', nevertheless this is speculation. What is certain is that an Edward BURNETT married Anne GIBSON on 4 Nov 1673 and baptism entries in Ripon parish register for their two known children give the residence as Bishop Monkton.
