12. John BURNETT
Quite likely to have been the John BURNETT listed as one of a "Company of Foot", a private 'army' raised by John HUTTON, Squire of Marske in Swaledale, at the time of the Jacobite Rebellion in 1745.
John was one of 50 "Private men" who enlisted on 10 Oct 1745.
Hannah was the daughter of Charles STEWART who was himself a son of Henry STEWART of Giggleswick. Hannah married John BURNETT and they named sons Charles and Henry
14. Mary BURNETT
Wensley parish register includes the baptism record for Betty Burnett CRADDOCK on 20 Apr 1783. Without doubt the daughter of Thomas CRADDOCK & his wife Mary [nee BURNETT] who married in 1781.
